Operations Analyst Intern

You work across a young consulting firm with a lot in motion: client diagnostics, a 162-template library, a data and dashboard practice, and the firm's own operations. The work is real, the supervision is real, and the point is that you leave with a portfolio and credentials, not a line on a resume.

What you will do

Run defined projects end to end, starting with the firm's website build: vendor sourcing, comparison, negotiation and delivery management
Research and analysis in support of client diagnostics: data collection, benchmarking, process mapping
Quality assurance and documentation for the template library
Operating cadence: meeting notes, action tracking, follow-through across the firm's systems
Client-ready formatting of reports, models and decks

Who we are looking for

A sophomore, junior or graduate student in business, engineering, economics or a related field
Writes clearly and finishes what they start
Comfortable in Excel; eager to learn Power BI and the Microsoft 365 stack
Organized, discreet with confidential material, and able to work without being watched

Hours

10 to 15 per week during the semester

Pay

$20 per hour, paid on a W-2

Credit

Eligible for academic credit; we complete your program's paperwork

Reports to

The firm's chief of staff, with direct access to the managing partner

Term

One semester, renewable; spring term begins January 2027

The credential ladder

The variety of the work and the stage of the firm let an intern log real hours against real projects. We sponsor the exams as you earn them.

Semester one

Foundations

CAPM preparation, including the 23 contact hours the exam requires, and a Six Sigma Yellow Belt, earned alongside the work.

Semester two

CAPM

Sit the Certified Associate in Project Management exam with the fee sponsored by the firm on a pass, and lead a defined project as project manager of record.

Semester three

Green Belt

A documented improvement project mentored by a Black Belt, and a conversation about a full-time role as the firm grows.

Credential sponsorship vests on completion and is set out in writing in the offer letter.

Experienced practitioners

We add partners and principals by referral, one at a time, when a practice line needs a lead.
